Solar Converter DC Converter
EQ 12/4810 Amp and 30 amp Used to keep your load voltage constant at
48 V as the battery discharges from 14 to 11 V.
This rugged and versatile unit is used to power a small load at 12
V from a 48 V battery, or to power a small 48 V load from a 12 V
battery. It functions both ways, producing 12 V @ 10 Amps from a 48 V
input or can be connected backwards to produce 48 V @ 2.5 Amps from a
12 V input.
When connected as a battery equalizer, it allows large transient
12 V loads to be taken off the first tap of a 48 V battery (made of 4 X
12 V batteries) without fear of upsetting the voltage balance of the
battery and destroying the 48 V battery system that would otherwise
occur.

This unit is an up or down voltage converter whose output is
proportional to its input. It functions both ways, producing 12 V @ 30
Amps from a 48 V input or can be connected backwards to produce 48 V @
7.5 Amps from a 12 V input.
Also, regulated models are available to produce a fixed output
voltage instead of the proprotional output. For example, Model EQ
12/4825 R13.5 produces a fixed 13.5 V output at 40 amps from a 48 V
nominal battery source.
When connected across a 48 V battery, it functions as a battery
equalizer, allowing loads to be taken off of the 12 V battery section
of a 48 V battery pack without fear of damage to the battery pack due
to voltage mismatch.
